I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk:
I understand that participating in running activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, traffic, and conditions of the road or trail, all of which may result in serious injury or death. I willingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.
2. Fitness and Health:
I certify that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.
3. Compliance with Instructions:
I agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately.
4. Release and Indemnity:
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Andover Run Club activities, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Andover Run Club, its officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“Releasees”), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Medical Treatment:
I consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity.
6. Photographic Release:
I grant and convey to Andover Run Club all right, title, and interest in any and all photographs, video, or other recordings of me during the activities, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
